In the words of the Heart of Faerie: Clear Sight, Foreknowledge, Faerie Gifts; Who is the Lady of Leprechauns? To begin to understand this lady we must look at those whom she protects – The Leprechauns themselves. They are tricky beings, sometimes helpful, sometimes misleading and tellers of tall tales. The Leprechaun can be surprised, caught and very rarely convinced to give up a pot of gold to the lucky captor, it is a rare and lucky person indeed who keeps what the Leprechaun is forced to give up. If the Leprechauns are tricky, their Lady is even more so. She holds gifts of Faerie in both hands, gifts of knowledge of the future and of clear sight. The crystal ball represents knowledge of the future. Many of us would give a great deal to know what the future holds, and yet such knowledge can be dangerous. The gift of clear sight may be a wiser choice, for who does not want to see life clearly? The crystal horn is faceted: you can see through only on facet at a time, each giving a different view of the same thing. What to choose? Remember that her gifts are not what they appear to be. Knowledge of the further and clear sight proffered by someone as tricky as this lady may be more than a glittering illusion.

If you come upon this lady, think carefully about what you wish for. You may be wiser to thank her, and walk away empty handed. The Choice is yours.
She came up in yesterday’s drawing.  It made me think of the the Powerball lottery, which was drawn last night.  Congrads to those that won.  Be very careful with your wish.

This also echoes for me with one of the cards that came up today, but that is for a separate post.

Be here in the now.  If you have a problem, the answer does not lie in tomorrow or the day after, or even in another action, it lies here today.  Look at your problem or goal, and ask yourself, WHY you may not making that goal, is it too high, is it unrealistic, are you the problem, is your frame of mind the problem?

So let’s look at my problems.

My student loans are both in forbearance and deferment, my cc get the min payment due, one way or another, I am in arrears in rent (below the surface of the water), my primary mode of transportation isn’t quite working the way it should be, I like to live in cave (so to speak: it’s comfortable and soft, and friendly), the money I’m making traditionally, whether it’s with massage or retail isn’t enough to make a dent in any of the above.  Oh! and let’s not forget the 700+ that I now owe the unemployment insurance, because MRS fought my UI filing.  Awesome! *note sarcasm*

Tall order to pay off and get current.  Of the above the only thing I need to get current on is rent, because my roommie is a wonderful individual, that has a high level of tolerance (in some areas).  Though even she has her limits.

Goal wise she is primary.  Reaching that goal, has been an issue.  Which is something that I’m exploring today.

In the words of the summary for this card from The Faeries’ Oracle: Being Real. Earthing. Grounding. Centering. Breathe. Ground. Center. Just as life is becoming surprising, exciting, and very interesting (though not necessarily fun), Ffaff the Ffoot Ffungus Ffaery comes along to check out our feet. He picks up one foot in his remarkable strong hands and looks over for ffluff between the toes, smelly fungi, and dirty, untrimmed toenails. Maintain or recover sanity by staying earthed. Do this NOW! Important information is coming your way, but you can only receive it properly if your feet are on terra firma and your head is well connected to the rest of your body.

Today as I sit here in front of my computer screen, I know I didn’t ground well today. It was a good day at work. I enjoy having hours to record in my planners, tips to record in my ledger, and people to see. My day started off with 4.5 hours of work, with an hour lunch, which would have been fine for me. But it later turned to 6 hours of work, of which I’m thankful for. I need the income, but I’m tired. Not a whole lot of time to “be”. But all in all, I enjoy the position, I enjoy the studio, I enjoy practicing my craft.

But grounding…that I need to work on, especially on a busy day.

In the words of the Heart of Faerie Deck: Resolution of opposites: Intuitive Decision. Tricky Situation. This faerie shows up when something is, as an example good but bad at the same time, and in equal parts. This is the time and stop and really pay attention. Look for signs. Examine your feelings, your intuition, your hunches. if you draw this card singly you may want to take another to help clarify. Look at the cards that were drawn with this card to see what this faerie is hinting at.

I usually draw more, if I’m having a problem seeing where he is coming in from, but I draw from 3 different decks in the morning.  A traditional Tarot deck, and 2 faerie decks, I was wondering what lesson this card was speaking of today. Paradox reminds me of the Topsie Turvets out of the Faerie Oracle Deck.

I had a massage at BBB, too which I forgot the SOAPs, and will finish tomorrow.  Maybe pick up some sheets to do this week.

My paradox, I got a phone call today, after training.  The question when I called was something along the lines of “did you authorizes a purchase of 300+ dollars worth of movie tickets situated some where in AFRICA?”, umm nooo.  They responded with that they thought that was the case, but just wanted to be sure, notified me to contact my CU on Monday, to close the CC.  Well yes…that is a plan.

I wasn’t really happy to get that particular phone call when I listened to the message, but after returning the phone call, I was happy that it was actually something that I needed to be aware of.   It’s nice to have that.  Not many financial institutions have that.  But since my bank is  a Credit Union, and it’s relatively small it helps.

I hope this doesn’t land me on the “random” security check list again.  That does get annoying after a while, but it was good that they caught the “300+ dollars for movie tickets from Africa”.

The Future

We all worry about what tomorrow will bring.  What we can do today, and how it’ll effect tomorrow.  The thing is, tomorrow hasn’t happened yet, and the actions you do today can help shape tomorrow, the foundations you lay or don’t lay will effect the events as they unfold, but again it’s all up to you, and what you do in this moment, on this time, in this minute, hour, and day.

I am a self proclaimed procrastinator, some times I do things in advance, but most of the time it’s when time is pressing.

In the Faerie Oracle Deck there is The Faeries of the Future: Be here NOW, Guidance, Moving forward. It is time to consider where we have been and where we wish to go. There are many paths, many opportunities, many potentials, but we must choose a path and then take realistic, practical steps to bring the desired future into being. This is not a time to wait for things to come to us, but to step forward boldly to meet them. We may do this alone if we wish or in the company of those who share our goals and dreams.

Faeries Of The Future

In the Heart of Faerie Oracle Deck there is The Joy of the Future: Fearful Anticipation. Optimism. The Now. Anticipation is really what this is about. The future is coming and will soon be present. There isn’t anything we can do to stop that from happening but we often fear what the future holds. This uses up a lot of energy. You can use the same amount of energy thinking that something good is coming, as fearing the worst. It takes courage to anticipate joy: there is always the chance of being disappointed. It’s so much easier to expect the worst and then be pleasantly surprised if things are better than you thought they would be. If you concentrate on the present, you don’t have time to worry about the future in great detail. If you can learn to move through life with a sense of non-specific joyful anticipation, you may find that some of the barriers that were in you way just disappear. Faeries live in the now. The moment – this moment – matters more to them than any past or future. We of course are mere mortals, but we can try to emulate them.

The Joy of the Future

Both of these cards have that seed, that hope.  Today, I’ve planted some seeds.  Instead of talking about what I want to do, I’ve written it down, typed it up, posted it on a board, sent it to my mentors.  I’ve begun moving forward, a bit later than I should be, but moving.  While I am a procrastinator, and I worry about the future, many times when those worries surface, the Faeries in the Oracle decks pop up with the Joy of the Future or The Faeries of the Future, reminding me that I need to be in the now, look at where I’ve been and where I may want to go, and be HERE in the present.

Today like Monday, I also was visited by Queen of the Day.  It’s apt taking into account The Faeries of the Future which was pulled on Sunday, and The Joy of the Future pulled today.

Queen of the Day

In the words of the Heart of Faerie Deck: Grace, Beauty, Blessing: Be aware of the beauty around you, no matter where you are or what situation you find yourself in, for there is beauty everywhere if you have the eyes to see it. Stop and think about how this day, this situation can be seen in a better light. Beauty and grace are there, but you must find them.

The ‘seeds’ (goals) have been planted. They are sitting on my wall in the north side of my room, the earth, green side.  They have been shared.  There is a review spot after three months.  There are goals that are the same monthly, there are goals that are different from month to month, and there are rewards posted.

So Autumn is here, Winter is coming, the Earth is sleeping, at least in the Northern Hemisphere, take a moment to be, and see where you’ve been and where you want to go.  And plant to seeds, cook them in an oven, don’t forget where you put them, they still need to nurtured.  Revise them as needed, but try not to worry about them.   But do put them in an area where you are reminded of where you are.  Cross out goals you’ve made, and move ever forward.

We’ve all had those things that we keep putting off, and putting off, and putting off to the very last minute. I think this card was made for those things. We tend to procrastinate on things that we know we need to do, but are either too anxious, can’t really think of something, or I can do it later. Well no is t the time to do it.

Things I need to finish today. I need to ask to borrow some money, this is the first year, I haven’t been able to afford my professional insurance. How sad is that? I need to finish my goal board. Which as mentioned last night, I used Wordle to do some key word clouds, I also did some creative lettering for the next three months and their goals. After this is complete, I need to email it to my mentors (also take a photograph of goal board).

I friend of mine on FB listed a photograph on the graph of creativity, and what happens with those of us who procrastinate. Minus the tears, that’s so me with assignments.

In the words of the summary for this card from The Faeries’ Oracle: Getting it Right. Delayed Completions. Tidying up loose ends. The Fee Lion looks out of his card accusingly, reminding us of things undone, promises unkept, and duties unfulfilled. He says that we can’t expect to have things go right when we are trailing so much unfinished business behind you. Dragging that stuff around tires us, it uses up energy that we need for other things. If we would just take care of these things that cause so much mental/physical clutter, we would suddenly find that we have a lot more energy at our disposal to do the things that we really want to do – probably much more cooperation from others as well. He especially suggest that we take care of the little things that matter to others. We will feel so much better when we have done that and so will he.

The Green Woman

This week I’ve been visited by two versions of the Green Woman, one from the Faeries’ Oracle, and the other from the Heart of Faerie Deck. Each has something different to say.

In the words of the summary for this card from The Faeries’ Oracle:  Wildness, Natural Magic, Expectant Gratitude. Untrammeled creativity; The green Woman dances naked in the moonlight, and in the sunlight, and in the shadows as well. She doesn’t care what you think of her; she knows her own worth from her experience of life. She is the feminine vital vegetative force that enables a root to crack stone, the reed to bend in the wind, and the oak to stand against the storm.

In the words of the summary for this card from The Heart of Faerie Oracle: Subtlety, Beauty, Fruition; Just as there is balance of masculine and feminine energy in all of us, there i s that same balance of energy in all of nature. The Green Woman is the subtle “greening” of the world, the gentle flow of energy, creativity, inner strength, full of moisture, and the nurturing qualities of plant life. She cradles us in her strong arms and soothes us with the healing energy of all that is beautiful, rather than awesome, in nature. When you observe the delicate ivy surrounding an ancient oak tree, when you smell a flower and marvel at the beauty of its form and color, you honor the strength and the subtlety of the Green Woman. When she appears before you in a reading, let her powerful gentle energy surround and nurture you. A relationship calls for gentle “greening” sometimes. Tread softly and gently to bring a relationship to fruition in its tentative stages. Be strong in your convictions, but gentle in the manner in which you present them, and you emulate the Green Woman.

On Monday, I was staying at the parents, and doing some walking. If you live in Minnesota it was a bit chilly on Monday. Only made it up to the 20s somewhere, with wind, which made it feel like the teens somewhere.

I’m not quite sure what she has to tell me today or this week, but we’ll wait and see.

Today, I was planning on doing my Hippa from my new position at Elements, but I ended up doing my goal board for the first 3 months, and 1 year, and 2year goals. After 3 months I have review and plant more.  Typed up the goals as well.  Used Wordle to create my Why?, my Pros, My 1 yr and 2 yr goal. I need to plant some more images on it. and it should be good.

So I guess, I do see what the Women were trying to share with me this week.  I still have my worries, I still have my wants and yearnings.  But yes.

Good Night!

OHNO!

Well this morning’s Tarot was an interesting bunch.  I could post about any one of them, but I’m going to post about OHNO!  You all have experienced him.  He’s this crazy looking faerie, looking out at you from the card.  His eyes are going in two directions, opposite, his tongue is sticking out, and well you get the picture.

In the words of the summary for this card from The Heart of Faerie Oracle“Just one of those days, obstructions, the unexpected; Look at him.  He’s been waiting a long time to be picked? He’s so eager to do his job, and it’s easy to see what that job is. You guessed it.  It’s making sure that things aren’t’ going to go the way you want them to go.  you break your favorite cup and superglue your hand to it while trying to stick the handle back on; you burn the toast and remember that it was the last of the bread that you were supposed to be using for a sandwich for lunch; your dog chews up what looks like an important letter from the tax man but might have been a notification of a huge lottery win.  So what to do?  you can go back to bed – really tempting idea – but remember  that your cat (or dog) has already taken the warm spot you vacated and isn’t going to give it up easily.  Or you can just accept that sometimes life isn’t what you expect and certainly not what you think it should be.  When OHNO! turns up, be philosophical about it. It’s just going to be one of those days; all you can do is go with it and try to keep your sense of humor.”

My lead was late for work today, because she couldn’t find her keys, my father was late picking me up, thus me late for work, because the temperatures dropped 40 degrees from 72 yesterday, thus there was ice on the car.  I forgot something yesterday, don’t remember what, but eh.  Today was a the first day of work at the new Studio I am employed at.  Got a split lunch, and had three clients.

It’s nice to be healing again, though there are some things I need to work on.  Just the new things with a new spa that I have to learn.  What they do, and how to incorporate it into my routine with each client.

So how was your day?  Was OHNO! running rampant in your day as well, or was he randomly popping up in places, when you least expect him?
