Be Careful What You Ask For…

This can be said for Prayer, Requests, and Asking.  When you put a prayer, intent, inquiry, or request out into ether, you may just get EXACTLY what you are asking for.

Be sure that what you are asking for is exactly what you are looking for, you just might get something that wasn’t quite what you were expecting.

Your thoughts, your Actions, Your Intent.  It all speaks louder than the words you speak.  So be careful.  That change you are praying for, is what you are looking for.  That car you are looking for, be sure that what you are looking for, and what you are getting match up.  Sometimes it matches right up to the letter.

Case in point:  Some years ago, I wanted a car.

My list was

  • an automatic
  • heat that worked
  • windows that worked
  • drove where I needed it
  • needed no major maintenance for at least a year

A year after I got the vehicle, the transmission went poof.

So be careful that the change or item you are looking for is what you are looking for, and not just the idea.

What brought this up? Events in life, and a title of a book I saw in the bookstore.
